
Roasted meatloaf in tomato or cream sauce

What will I need?
• 1 pack of traditional Czech roasted meatloaf
• 250 ml broth
• 1 portion tomato or cream sauce (homemade or bought)
• 1 tablespoon oil or butter
• 1 tablespoon plain flour (to thicken, if needed)
• salt and pepper
• Along with roll dumplings or pasta

Procedure
Sometimes I get a taste for something extra honest. Something that smells like grandma’s Sunday lunch. But standing at it for two hours? No, thank you. Luckily, there’s another way.
If I have time and mood, I make homemade sauce – tomato sauce with puree and spices, cream sauce with roasted vegetables and cream. If not, I take the ready-made version and just fine-tune it to my taste.
I put the sliced meatloaf into the hot sauce and let it warm up for a few minutes. Then I just serve it with dumplings or pasta and I have a meal that tastes like grandma’s but was ready in just a few minutes.
Sometimes shortcuts in the kitchen are just the best thing that can happen!
